We did a wonderful private tour with Ms Tretter through the old town and Schoenbrunn in Vienna. She’s the most pleasant, kind and fun tour guide ever. She knows absolutely everything about Vienna, the history of every little corner and put everything we saw into context, which made the whole thing very interesting. She kept both us and our 20yo son entertained throughout the whole tour. I definitely recommend Ms Tretter for anyone willing to understand a little of Vienna and learn the hidden spots of this most wonderful city.![]()

Highly recommended!!! I booked a private tour with the very lovely Ms. Tretter, and everything from the initial phone call to the written confirmation was very straightforward. Our personal guide, Nina Breitenecker, was at the hotel promptly at 10:00 AM, and she did a fantastic job. There wasn't a single dull moment or anything negative to report. Simply incredibly interesting. We took her personal recommendations for places to eat and didn't regret it at all. Thank you so much :-)

A brilliant new perspective on Vienna! Martha has compiled 12 incredibly diverse bike tours through Vienna for this book. And even though I know Vienna really well, I discovered completely new sides of the city. What surprised me most was how wonderful it is to explore Vienna by bike! The routes mostly follow bike paths and quiet roads, so you're hardly ever on busy streets. I find it particularly convenient that the tours start and end at WienMobil bike stations. So you don't even need your own bike; you can rent one very cheaply and simply return it at the end. My favorite route leads through the Viennese vineyards. I had no idea before how well you can explore this area by bike, and suddenly you experience Vienna from a completely different perspective. In general, the twelve routes are incredibly varied. It's not just about cycling from one tourist attraction to the next. Along the way, Martha tells many little stories and shows places and details that you would probably otherwise just drive right past. You can immediately tell that she's a tour guide herself and truly loves and knows Vienna. For me, that's why this book isn't just for visitors. Quite the opposite: it's an absolute must-read, especially for Viennese residents who want to rediscover their own city.

Even for Viennese, this is a revelation! As a native Viennese myself, I discovered several hidden gems with this wonderful book that had previously escaped my notice. It's not just a travel guide, but a heartfelt invitation to discover and enjoy Vienna's green spaces! I've already recommended it and will do so again!

If I could give six or even seven stars, I would. As part of our private city tour, we were able to spend an entire afternoon with Martha and are still thrilled weeks later. Her incredible spirit and very pleasant presence, in addition to the content itself, are what make a tour with Martha so special. Her expertise is incredibly broad. The tour specially tailored for us, "Strong Women and Unknown Vienna," was simply fantastic. The first floor of the coffee house and the wine cellar with a tasting rounded off the afternoon perfectly. Naturally, pick-up requests from breakfast spots are also accommodated, and the tour is then adapted to that starting point. Anyone who wants to experience Vienna in a truly personal way should definitely do it with Martha and Artemezzo!

Exploring Vienna's Green Spaces with a City Guide: We've known author Martha Tretter for many years and regularly book her for city tours in Vienna. Therefore, we were very excited about her first book, "Green Places of Happiness in Vienna." And we weren't disappointed! This book is enchanting. Just as Martha enriches her tours with many funny, thoughtful, and reflective stories, "Green Places of Happiness in Vienna" is a collection of beautiful, sometimes hidden, places in Vienna, each with a fascinating story to tell. These are Martha's favorite spots—we know some from her tours, like the hidden courtyards behind St. Stephen's Cathedral, but many others are wonderful oases in all parts of Vienna. The book invites you to simply wander, discover new places, sit down, and read the story of each location. Martha's tips lead to great cafés and restaurants, but also to museums and poems that round out the experience. The photos in this book are particularly impressive. They capture the moods and unique character of the places in an incredibly expressive way. A truly outstanding work all around. Congratulations, dear Martha! We are proud to have you as part of our guide team.

A fantastic book with many undiscovered places in Vienna! Martha Tretter describes 80 beautiful spots and places in Vienna that invite you to linger, relax, and slow down. Each of these "green havens" is described in detail and includes information on how to reach them by public transport. In addition, there's a photo of each place, giving you a first impression. I found the extra tips the author provides for each location particularly helpful. As a Viennese, I often wonder where to find idyllic spots and places for a little getaway, away from the tourist attractions. This book has given me numerous inspirations, suggestions, and ideas. It will therefore be my constant companion on future explorations of my own city.

Fantastic book! I recently bought it to accompany me on my annual trip to Vienna and was amazed by how many special, green spaces there are, even just in the city center, that I hadn't noticed before. The book has given me a completely new perspective. It's also a perfect gift – for both travelers and Viennese!

We gave a friend the "TimeTour Vienna - Guided 3D Time Travel" as a 60th birthday present. Yesterday was the day. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. She made the tour varied and engaging. Despite already having a good basic knowledge, I learned interesting details about different historical periods in Vienna's history. I highly recommend the tour.

If you're looking for a city tour in and around Vienna – then go with artemezzo! We're certain we've found it: the needle in the haystack of tour guides in Vienna! A tour tailored entirely to us and our wishes, leading us through the lesser-known parts of Vienna, spiced with stories of remarkable women, a visit to the elegant upper floors of a coffee house, and a wine tasting in deep cellars. It was exquisite in every respect! The tour with Martha was incredibly enjoyable, and we're still raving about it weeks later. Martha's very pleasant manner and her incredibly extensive knowledge, which always comes across in a relaxed and easygoing way, leave us wanting more. A wonderful tour with a truly wonderful person.

A green gem for Vienna lovers and nature enthusiasts. As an enthusiastic tour guide in Vienna, Martha Tretter has compiled an impressive collection of 80 idyllic spots in Vienna in her book "Green Places of Happiness in Vienna: Go Out & Bloom." These locations introduce both locals and tourists to hidden natural beauties and oases of tranquility amidst the urban hustle and bustle. Martha uses her extensive knowledge and personal enthusiasm for the city to take the reader on a journey of discovery, ranging from historic parks and cozy garden cafés to inspiring cultural sites. Each of the carefully selected locations is lovingly described and enriched with practical tips and cultural insights. What makes this book special is the author's passion for Vienna and her ability to convey that passion to the reader. It serves not only as a travel guide but also as a source of inspiration for enjoying little escapes from everyday life and fully experiencing Vienna's natural beauty. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot for a picnic, a romantic retreat, or simply a pleasant route through the city, this book offers a wealth of ways to explore Vienna. Highest Possible Recommendation Highest possible recommendation! Martha Tretter is exceptionally knowledgable, professional and friendly. We have toured twice with Martha and have referred her to several friends -- all of whom share our rave reviews. On our most recent trip, she went out of her way to research some family history for us which made out visit that much more special. Also, she is especially good at guiding for both older and younger tourists -- makes everyone feel like a VIP. She also helped us identify the best places to shop for local clothing. She speaks perfect English.Posted on Google

Vienna tour! On November 24, 2019, we, along with two other couples, took a two-hour city tour with Mr. Stojaspal. With his characteristic Viennese charm, humor, and occasional touch of grumpiness, he showed us the most famous sights in Vienna's city center. We learned a great deal about the Habsburgs, Viennese history, and much more. The two hours flew by. We will gladly recommend the tour and Mr. Stojaspal. The city itself is impressive and well worth seeing; we will definitely be back!

Martha Tretter has created something truly special with her book "Green Places of Happiness in Vienna." Even just flipping through the pages brings moments of joy, both from admiring the evocative photographs and reading her poetic descriptions. Only those who truly love these places can appreciate them. And that's precisely why it sparks such a strong desire to discover them for oneself. But facts and further tips are also included. The book is well-structured and clearly laid out, with all the essential information readily accessible. I also found the overview map at the end of the book very helpful. Let's hope this isn't Martha Tretter's last travel guide.

On the occasion of our Christmas party yesterday (Chiropractic Kropshofer), Eva Ploder from Artemezzo gave us a tour of our beautiful city. She showed us a completely different side of Vienna. The program, including a visit to the Jesuit Church with an organ concert, mulled wine in an underground cellar, and a stroll through typical Viennese alleyways, was wonderful. Ms. Ploder made the tour very warm, informative, and varied. We thank her very much and will certainly book her again. Thank you!
