Erwin Wurm, born in 1954 in Bruck an der Mur, is the most internationally renowned Austrian sculptor of our time. His One Minute Sculptures, in which visitors become the sculpture for a minute, his Fat Cars and the Narrow House have taken him from Vienna to Venice, New York and Seoul.
His studio is in Limberg in the Weinviertel, just under an hour from Vienna, on a former estate with halls, workshops and a sculpture park. Access is the exception, not the rule. What is always possible: seeing Wurm in Vienna, at the Belvedere, at Galerie Kovacek + Zetter with objects from his workshop, or in the city where his works stand.
