Tour details

Baroque Meets Modernism

Prince Eugene built the Belvedere as his summer residence; today Austria’s most famous painting hangs here. Gustav Klimt’s “The Kiss” is the destination, but not the end: his society portraits and landscapes, Egon Schiele’s families, Oskar Kokoschka’s wind, the Biedermeier Viennese and the Marble Hall where the State Treaty was signed in 1955. Your private guide explains why Klimt used gold, what Schiele left behind at 28 and how a palace became a museum. Afterwards, the view across the garden to the city.

We are happy to combine the visit with an old town walk, the Lower Belvedere or the Leopold Museum, tailored to your interests.
