Joseph Brot

Josef Weghaupt founded Joseph Brot in 2009 because no bread was good enough for him. In the Waldviertel bakery, everything is crafted by hand using traditional recipes and organic ingredients sourced directly from farming families. The dough is given at least 24 hours to mature. The result: a crispy crust, a moist crumb, and a lasting flavor. In 2025, it became the first bakery to be honored with the EU Organic Award.
