MEETING POINT | Praterstern or Ferris wheel
Where the Viennese spend their summer, no coach can go: on the Alte Donau, on the Danube Island, in the Prater. This tour rides from the Ferris wheel along the Prater Hauptallee, over the Reichsbrücke onto the Danube Island and once around the Alte Donau, the quiet old river arm with boathouses, lidos and gardens on the water. In between, stories: why the Danube flows twice here, who built the island, what the Schweizerhaus has to do with Budweiser and why the pork knuckle is eaten by hand. In summer with a swim, in autumn with Sturm and chestnuts.
We take care of the bikes: rental bikes are ready at the meeting point.
Collect bikes, Prater Hauptallee, Lusthaus, over the Praterbrücke onto the Danube Island, Reichsbrücke, once around the Alte Donau with a stop, back through the Prater. Finish at the Ferris wheel. As a full day with swim and lunch, six hours.
Guide fee € 445 per group (4 hrs) or € 635 (6 hrs) plus rental bike € 15 per person, arranged by artemezzo. For two guests € 475, for four € 505, all inclusive.
