No two capitals lie as close together as Vienna and Bratislava: 60 kilometres of Danube, 75 minutes by fast boat. We take the Twin City Liner from Schwedenplatz downstream, past the Lobau and the Danube Floodplains National Park, and dock below the castle. As Pressburg, Bratislava was the Hungarian coronation city for 250 years; Maria Theresa was crowned here, and in an hour the old town tells of Habsburgs, communism and the young Slovakia. Castle with Danube view, Michael’s Gate, main square, the UFO bridge, lunch with bryndzové halušky, and in the afternoon back by boat or train.
Meeting point Schwedenplatz, Twin City Liner (75 min.), climb to the castle, old town on foot, lunch, free time or the Blue Church, return by boat or by train from Bratislava main station (1 hr), arrival in Vienna around 4 to 5 pm. Bring your passport or ID card.
Guide fee € 750 per tour (7 hrs). Per person additionally: Twin City Liner (around € 35 one way), train back (around € 12), castle (around € 12) and lunch, fares confirmed with your request. For four guests around € 250 per person including boat, train and castle. Variant with minivan and driver instead of boat and train: plus € 660 per tour.

All prices net, valid for 2026. Admissions and tastings are set by the respective venues and may change at short notice. You select the add-ons in the booking request; the total is calculated there automatically.
Because the journey down the Danube is half the excursion: the Lobau, the national park, the castle that suddenly appears on the bank. We take the train back; it is in Vienna in an hour.
Slovakia is in the Schengen area, but bring an ID. Payment is in euros.
The Twin City Liner runs from April to October. In winter we take the train both ways or the minivan.
For private tours our cancellation terms apply: up to 14 days before the tour we charge 20% of the price as a flat fee for organisation, from 14 to 7 days before 50%, after that or in case of a no-show the full amount. If your plans change, please let us know as early as possible and we will look for a solution together. You will find all details in our terms and conditions.
