Rami Ceramics is an open ceramics studio in Leopoldstadt, right at the Volkert market, one of the liveliest neighbourhood markets in the city. On 140 square metres stand pottery wheels, work tables and kilns; there are day passes for Viennese who spend their hours here, and workshops for groups.
Pottery is the craft that quiets you fastest: the wheel turns, the clay wants to be centred, and after an hour nobody thinks of emails. The pieces are sent on after firing, or you collect them on your next visit to Vienna.
