MEETING POINT | by arrangement in the city centre
Peter Altenberg had his mail delivered to the Café Central, Stefan Zweig called the coffeehouse a kind of democratic club, and to this day you may sit for two hours over a small black coffee. On this tour we visit two coffeehouses that carry this culture, taste Melange, Einspänner and Verlängerter, with apple strudel, Gugelhupf or a slice of cake, and learn the unwritten rules: how to call the waiter, why the glass of water is free, and what the difference is between a Konditorei and a Kaffeehaus. In between, a walk through the lanes where the writers lived. The longer variant adds sausages and beer in between.
All inclusive: for 4 guests € 118 per person, for 2 guests € 205. Composition: guide fee € 350 per group (2.5 hrs) plus coffeehouse package € 30 per person for two houses (one house: € 270 plus € 17 per person).
