An hour from Vienna begins the Danube valley that UNESCO protected as a whole: wine terraces, apricot orchards, castle ruins and Baroque abbeys along 35 kilometres. We drive by minivan with driver to Melk, see the abbey with its library and the view over the Danube, have lunch in Weissenkirchen or Spitz, taste Grüner Veltliner and Riesling from the stone terraces at a winery, and stroll through Dürnstein, where Richard the Lionheart was held captive. In summer we cover one leg by boat, in autumn there is Sturm. Your guide is with you all day, in the van, in the abbey, at the wine.
9 am pick-up in Vienna, drive to Melk (1 hr), abbey tour, drive along the south bank through the Wachau to Spitz, boat to Dürnstein or drive via Weissenkirchen, lunch, wine tasting at a winery, Dürnstein on foot, return via Krems, arrival in Vienna around 5 pm.
Per group: guide fee € 825 (8 hrs) plus minivan with driver € 770 (up to 7 guests), together € 1,595. Per person additionally: wine tasting around € 20, Melk Abbey around € 15, boat Spitz to Dürnstein around € 20 (venue prices, confirmed with your request) and lunch. For four guests that is around € 455 per person excluding lunch.

Apricot brandy tasting, Aggstein castle ruin, Danube cycle path with rental bikes instead of the boat (€ 15 per person), Heuriger finish in Krems. Larger groups by coach on request.
