Tour details

The Old Masters Up Close

The Habsburgs collected for 400 years, and the result hangs in one place: the world’s largest Bruegel collection, Titian and Tintoretto from Venice, Velázquez’s infantas painted for Vienna, Vermeer’s Art of Painting, Rubens in oversize. In the Kunstkammer stands Cellini’s Saliera, the most expensive salt cellar in the world. Your private guide makes the selection with you, because two hours are enough for twelve paintings with stories, not for three thousand. In between, the grand staircase, Klimt’s spandrel paintings and the cupola hall with its café.

We are happy to combine the visit with an old town walk, the Natural History Museum opposite or the Treasury in the Hofburg.

What it costs

Guide fee € 270 per tour (up to 10 guests) plus admission € 22 per person. For two guests € 314, for four € 358, all inclusive.

Included: private Austria Guide, admission
Excluded: café in the cupola hall, special exhibitions

Extensions

Kunstkammer or Egyptian collection as a focus, coffee break under the cupola, old town highlights in the afternoon.
