MEETING POINT | State Opera, Alban Berg monument
Vienna calls itself the capital of music, and the State Opera is its living room. This tour combines the house tour of the Opera (grand staircase, tea salon, auditorium, stage when no rehearsal is on) with a walk to the people who made this city sound: Mozart in the Domgasse, Beethoven, who moved 68 times, Mahler, who ruled the Opera for ten years, and the Strauss family, who made the waltz respectable. Your guide leads before and after the house tour, explains what to look for inside, and answers the questions the house tour has no time for.
Walk through the city centre (Domgasse, Figaro House, Pasqualati House, Kärntner Strasse), then the house tour at the reserved time (mostly early afternoon, about 40 minutes), finishing on Karlsplatz or in a coffeehouse with a view of the Opera.
Guide fee € 350 per group (3 hrs) plus State Opera house tour ticket per person (currently around € 15, confirmed with your request).
