Bonbons Anzinger is one of Vienna’s shops with history: a candy shop in the 9th district of the kind every neighbourhood once had and hardly any still has. Shelves of jars, silk candies, sugared almonds, Mozartkugeln, Sisi coins, chocolate in paper, all weighed out and filled into bags.
It is the counterpart to the show production: no oven, no demonstration, just a place where Viennese candy culture simply lives on. For guests looking for old Vienna, the shop is a small journey in time on the way through Alsergrund.
