The Werksalon in Stadlau is an open workshop for wood, upholstery and sewing: carpentry courses for beginners, upholstery courses for old chairs, bench rental for your own projects. It smells of spruce, it is loud, and everyone wears safety glasses.
For groups the stool course is the classic: in three to four hours boards become a seat, with circular saw, sander and plenty of guidance. If you want to understand Vienna as a city of carpenters and workshops (Thonet, Auböck), here you get the hands-on version.
