The story

Fiaker have existed in Vienna since the 17th century, named after the Rue de Saint-Fiacre in Paris where the first hired carriages stood. The Viennese Fiaker was always more than transport: he knows the city, the people and the best stories, and he has a relationship with his horses you can feel.

The Paul family has been driving since 1970. The horses are stabled at the edge of the city, the carriages are well kept, and the drivers tell stories if you let them. A ride along the Ring, through the Hofburg or around St. Stephen’s is not a tourist duty but the slowest and most beautiful way to see Vienna.

The horse knows the way. The Fiaker knows the stories.
