Walter Lunzer is a designer and master knitter; his workshop is in Otto Wagner’s Stadtbahn arches on the Gürtel. Sweaters, hats and dresses are made here in small runs, and knitting sessions and sewing courses take place in a fully equipped workshop with machines, wool and plenty of patience.
It is a Vienna guests rarely see: the Gürtel as a row of workshops, Wagner’s arches as a studio. And knitting as what it is: a craft with rhythm you can learn in two hours and keep for life.
