Since 1901 Huber & Lerner have printed writing paper, invitations and calling cards for Vienna, using steel engraving with embossing, a technique only a few in the world still master. The plates are engraved, the paper is pressed under pressure, and you feel the result with your finger before you read it.
The shop on Weihburggasse is a place for people who love paper: envelopes in every colour, wax and seals, calendars, fountain pens. An order book with names every Viennese knows lies in the drawer. Anyone who has held embossed paper once writes their thank-you notes differently.
